Obituary
Former Resident Dies Saturday in Minneapolis
Erick J. Sandeen, 90, former Wahpeton resident, died Saturday in a Minneapolis rest home. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday in the Foss Methodist church.
Rev. J. Daniel Prickett of Breckenridge will officiate at the services. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery at Wahpeton.
Erick John Sandeen was born May 4, 1870 in Sweden. Mr. Sandeen was employed by the Great Northern Railway while living in Wahpeton. He moved to Minneapolis in 1948 following the death of his wife. He had previously lived in Glyndon, Minn., before coming to Wahpeton.
Survivors include a son, Ernest of Glenwood, Minn., and two daughters, Mrs. Frank Kohoutek of Grand Forks and Mrs. Robert Olson of Minneapolis. Also surviving are six grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Mrs. A. G. Olson of Fairmount is a niece of Mr. Sandeen.
Visitation will be at the Vertin-Schmitt and Poulton Funeral Home north chapel, Tuesday evening.
