Obituary
Funeral Services Held Today For Mrs. Lewis Schennum, 82
Funeral services were held today, (Monday) for Mrs. Lewis Schennum, 82, Breckenridge, who died in a local hospital Friday.
Services were in the Breckenridge Lutheran Church with Rev. R. D. Mellum officiating. The Jos. Vertin and Sons Funeral Home of Breckenridge was in charge or arrangements.
Mrs. Schennum was born near Dwight, June 21, 1878, and was married there in 1898. They moved to Wahpeton in 1900, and to Breckenridge in 1919, where she had resided since. Her husband proceeded her in death.
Surviving are three daugthers, Mrs. Ernest (Lillian) Hodel, International Falls, Minn., and Mrs. Mabel Groves and Mrs. Kenneth (Elaine) Troxel, both of Breckenridge, and three sons, Clifford of Mooreton, Leonard of Kansas City, Mo., and Curtis of Rapid City, S. D.
There are two sisters, three brothers, 21 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
