Richland County Farmer Globe, on Thursday, September 18th, 1969 (transcribed as written) ~ Mrs. Ernest Schoeneck Services Set Friday ~
The funeral for Mrs. Ernest (Alvina) Schoeneck, 88, of Wahpeton will be at 2 Friday in Immanuel Lutheran Church in Wahpeton with the Rev. Edward J. Rutter officiating. Organist will be Mrs. William Enochson, and vocalists will be the lady's choir. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery. Mrs. Schoeneck died Tuesday.
Pallbearers will be George Stein, Ralph Schroeder, Kenneth Tangen, Clifford Glasow, Orrin Bjornstad and Harry Blair.
Visitation will be Thursday afternoon and evening with a prayer service at 8 at Vertin's Wahpeton Funeral Home.
Alvina Schroeder was born at Great Bend, N.D., Feb. 3, 1881, and was married there to Ernest Schoeneck Feb. 14, 1900. The couple farmed until his death in 1948. Both Mr. and Mrs. Schoeneck were charter members of the Immanuel Lutheran Church with Mrs. Schoeneck the last surviving charter member of the church.
She is survived by seven sons and three daughters, William, Rudolph and Alvin, all of Wahpeton, Ernest Jr. of Fergus Falls, Mrs. Adolph (Ella) Novotny of Breckenridge, Mrs. Carl (Nora) Johnson, Henry and Robert, all of Minneapolis, August of Wallingford, Conn., Mrs. Orris (Corrine) Morken of Walcott:
There are three brothers and a sister, Albert of Fairmount, Paul of Sheboygan, Wis., Mrs. Ernest (Carrie) Bohn and Rudoph Bohn, both of Wahpeton; and seven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; one son, Edwin; four brothers and two sisters, Robert, August, William, Adolph, George and Elizabeth Schroeder and Mrs. Rudolph (Bertha) Stein.
