Obituary
August Schoeneck-1912 ANOTHER OLD SETTLER GONE
Mr. Aug. Schoeneck died, Sunday, Aug 11, at 11 a.m. at his residence on S. 3rd street, Wahpeton. He was born on the 20th day of August, 1837 in Neudorf in the province of Posen, Germany. He came to this country in the year 1886 and has always lived in Richland county, for years on his farm near Tyler, and after retiring from farming he
has resided in Wahpeton. The last few years of his life he has suffered a great deal from pains and afflictions, but he bore them in a God-fearing and patient way.
He leaves one son, seven daughters, 47 grandchildren and eight great-grand-children. The funeral services were held on Wednesday morning, Rev. Hafner conducting them.
