GREAT BEND PIONEER WOMAN DIES FRIDAY Funeral Services Held Yesterday for Mrs. August Schroeder; Burial Was at Wahpeton
Mrs. August Schroeder, aged 71, pioneer resident of Great Bend community, died Friday evening, May 13, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ernest Bohn, with whom she had lived the past few years. Mrs. Schroeder became sick with pneumonia Monday of last week and steadily weakened.
The Globe regrets that details of Mrs. Schroeder’s life were not available yesterday. She was a resident of Wahpeton for some time, until the death of her husband, when she went to Great Bend to reside at the home of her daughter. She was the mother of George Schroeder, of Wahpeton. She is survived by several children and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 1 o’clock yesterday afternoon at the German Lutheran Church at Great Bend, the Rev. Mr. Hinck officiating. Interment was in Fairview cemetery, Wahpeton, by the side of Mr. Schroeder.
