Obituary
John Schultz
Funeral services for John Schultz, 84, Wahpeton will be held Saturday at Bethel Lutheran Church.
Mr. Schultz died Wednesday at St. Francis Hospital, Breckenridge.
Rev. Marvin L. Hartmann will officiate at the service. Organist will be Mrs. James Horton and special music by Mrs. Martin Hanson and Carl Lund. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Wahpeton.
Visitation will be Friday afternoon and evening in Vertin's Chapel and from 10-11 a.m. Saturday at Bethel Lutheran.
John Schultz was born January 16, 1891, in Warsaw, Poland to Ludwig and Emma Schultz. He came to the United States as a young man and worked in Chicago until he moved to the Great Bend area.
He married Josephine Hanson on March 19, 1927 and farmed in the Dwight area, Summit Township, for 25 years until he retired in 1960.
The couple moved to Wahpeton in 1971.
He was preceded in death by his son, Dale Schultz.
He is survived by his wife; two sons, James Schultz, Morton, Ill,, and John Schultz, Olive Hurst, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. Earl (Joyce) Tobias, 401 11th Ave. S., Wahpeton, and Mrs. Donald (Lyla) Stiller, 319 N. 4, Wahpeton; seven grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Natalie _______, Chicago, Ill.; and three brothers in Europe.
Casket bearers will be Henry Lund, Elwood Lund, Glen Lund, Edward Hanson, Randy Tobias and Scott Stiller.
