Obituary
Helen Searing
Funeral services for Helen Searing, 85, of Wahpeton will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at the United Church of Christ in Wahpeton with Rev. Edward Krueger officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Wahpeton.
Miss Searing died Tuesday at the Wahpeton Rehabilitation Center.
Visitation will be Wednesday afternoon and evening at Joseph Vertin & Sons Funeral Home in Breckenridge and one hour prior to services at the church.
Casket bearers will be Erwin Kent, Gerald Pankow, Clyde Emery, LeRoy Jost, Otto Meyer, and Eldon Lum.
Helen Searing was born Oct. 8, 1889 at Mankato, Minn., to Charles and Jessie (Barnes) Searing. She grew up there and attended local schools. She later taught school for a few years before coming to Wahpeton where she worked in the Leach Public Library.
She was a member of the United Church of Christ and Business Women's Aid.
There are no immediate survivors.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.
Arrangements are with Joseph Vertin & Sons Funeral Home in Breckenridge.
