Mrs. A. A. Smith Dies Sunday
Funeral Services To Be Conducted Thursday
Mrs. A. A. Smith, a resident of Sunnyside township Wilkin county died Sunday morning at ten at the age of 74. Funeral services will be conducted from Schmitt & Olson chapel here at 2 p.m. Thursday with Rev. Wilson Johnstone officiating and burial will be in Fairview cemetery.
Mrs. Smith was born Jan. 3 1869, at Hutchinson, Minn., and was married to Alva Smith, June 29, 1887. They settled in Otter Tail county, town of Western, Minn., and after several years moved to Elizabeth where they lied for 16 years. In 1915, they came to Wahpeton and made their home on a farm, a few miles north of town. In 1933, Mrs. Smith and her two sons, Harry and Arche, moved to Breckenridge, Minn., where she has since made her home.
Mr. Smith preceded her in death passing away in 1927. One son, Edward A., a world war veteran, died in 1929. Mrs. Smith leaves to mourn her passing, six sons, Samuel of Fargo, William of Indianapolis, Ind., Ernest of Wahpeton, Earl of Wahpeton, and Archer and Harry of Breckenridge. Other survivors are a sister, Mrs. C. W. Hewitt of Battle Lake, Minn., and a brother, Charles of Fargo. Mrs. Smith has 12 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
