DEATH OF LULU SMITH Lulu Smith passed away at 5:40 o’clock a.m., November 8, 1919, at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Smith, 519 Seventh street north. Her death was the conclusion of chronic Bright’s disease, from which she had suffered since the summer of 1917. On October 24, complications set in and all efforts were of no avail.

The deceased was born October 19, 1904, at DeLamere, North Dakota. She began her school life in the Wahpeton public school in 1910 and attended regularly until her eighth year. For the two years following she was not in regular attendance as a result of her illness. At the time of her death she was a member of the Sophomore class in the Wahpeton high school. Lulu Smith was the third oldest child of John and Martha Smith; besides her parents she leaves to mourn her, one sister, Ruth, and two brothers, Selmer and Kenneth. Funeral services took place Tuesday at the Norwegian Lutheran church with Rev. W. B. Dahl officiating. The remains were laid to rest in the Fairview cemetery. The out of town people who attended were; Lewis Tisdel, Henry Tisdel, Mr. and Mrs. T. B. Tisdel of Wyndmere.
