Former Richland Resident Dies In California

A message was received by Lee Snyder of Breckenridge Sunday morning from Los Angeles, Calif., announcing the death of his mother, Mrs. Snyder. She had been in poor health for some time.

Elizabeth E. Hargraves was born at Durand, Ill., July 19, 1857. Here she spent her childhood and grew to womanhood. She was united in marriage to Fred E Snyder. From this union, seven children were born.

In the year of 1883 the family moved to Mason City, Ia., where they resided until the spring of 1901. They then moved to Fairmount, N.D. where they resided on a farm. Deciding to quit farming they moved to Wahpeton where they resided until Mr. Snyder’s death on August 7, 1914.

In 1924 she went to make her home with her brother-in-law at Los Angeles, Calif. There she resided until her death.

Mrs. Snyder was a very devout Christian and was very active in all work that would help better anyone’s spiritual life.

Surviving are five sons, and two daughters, namely: Porter, Fred and B.E. of Fairmount, N.D., Lee of Breckenridge Art of Rosholt, S.D. an Mrs. O. E. Evenson of Drayton, N.D.

Services will be conducted Saturday afternoon from the Methodist church at Wahpeton, with the Reverend F. W.
