Wahpeton Pioneer Buried Tuesday
Solomon T. Stanley's Body Taken Back to Old Home to Final Rest
Solomon T. Stanley, 76, Richland county pioneer, was buried at Fairview Cemetery, Wahpeton, Tuesday afternoon, burial taking place from the First Congregational church. Mr. Stanley came to the northwest as a boy and spent his active life at Sauk Center, Minn., and at Wahpeton. For the past seven years he has lived with his daughter at White Bluffs, Wash.
Mr. Stanley was a member of the Congregational church here as well as the Wahpeton Blue Lodge of Masons and the Order of Odd Fellows. His wife preceded him in death several years ago. He is survived by two daughters and six sisters as well as two brothers.
A brother and two sisters attended the funeral here, Robert Stanley of Hillsboro, N. D., and Mrs. Emma S. Raney and Mrs. J. B. Alkenbrack of Hopkins, Minn. Other surviving relatives are: two daughters, Mrs. Frank Connolly, Santa Barbara, Calif.; Mrs. Margaret M. Heath, White Bluff, Wash.; another brother, John D. Stanley, Sulley, N. D.; four sisters besides those attending the funeral; Mrs. E. J. Jacques, White Bluffs, Wash.; Mrs. Mary E. Chamberlain, Minneapolis, Minn.; Mrs. Sarah A. Cuddigan, Togus, Minn.; and Miss Susan Stanley, Kenmare, N. D.
