Obituary

Donald "Rusty" Stiller, 76, Wahpeton, died Monday, April 24, 2006, in St. Francis Healthcare Center Campus-Hospital, Breckenridge, Minn.

Mr. Stiller, known as Rusty, was born April 25, 1929, in Hebron, N.D., where he graduated from high school in 1946. He served from 1951 to 1952 in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. After the service he was a bricklayer. In 1956, he graduated from North Dakota State College of Science, Wahpeton. On May 19, 1956, he married Lyla Schultz in Wahpeton. He did subcontracting in Montana until returning to Wahpeton in 1958. In 1959, he started bricklaying with Meide and Fritz Construction and later with Meide and Son Construction, He retired in 1991. Mrs. Stiller died in 1984.

He is survived by two sons, Scott (Laurie), Wahpeton, Tim (Kelly), Concord, Calif.; two brothers, Ervin Stiller, Hebron, N.D., Melvin Stiller, Carson, Calif.; two sisters, Verna Monson, Mandan, N.D., Irene (Roth) Clarkston, Wash.; and three grandchildren.

Visitation: Thursday from 5 to 7 and Friday from 10 to 11 in Vertin-Munson Funeral Home, Wahpeton.

Funeral: Friday at 11 in the funeral home.

Burial: Fairview Cemetery, Wahpeton.
