Obituary
Palma Sturma
Mrs. William. (Palma) Sturma, 75, Wahpeton, died Monday at the Wahpeton Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Bethel Lutheran Church, the Rev. Marvin L. Hartmann officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Wahpeton.
Visitation will be Wednesday afternoon and evening and Thursday morning until 11 at Vertin's Wahpeton Funeral Home. There will also be visitation for the hour prior to services at the church.
Palma Peterson was born Dec. 8, 1904 at Abercrombie, the daughter of Hans and Bertha (Frederickson) Peterson. She grew up in the Abercrombie area and attended local schools. She married William Sturma July 2, 1932 at Wahpeton. They have resided in Wahpeton since. She was employed at the Wahpeton Rehabilitation Center for 16 years. She has resided at the center since 1977.
She was a member off the Bethel Lutheran Church and ALCW.
She is survived by her husband, two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Doris) Johnson, Lakewood, Ohio; Mrs. Lester (Grace) Vetter, Poughkeepsie, N.Y.; five grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Melvin (Mabel) Halvorson, Fargo.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one half-sister.
