Mrs. Emma Schulz Services Set for Tuesday

Funeral services for Mrs. Emma M. Schulz, 78, of Wahpeton, will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. from Bethel Lutheran Church. Rev. Loyal Golf officiating.

Mrs. Schulz died Friday morning at St. Francis Hospital.

She was born at Blue Earth Minn., daughter of Christoph and Emilie Roeske, Dec. 16, 1885. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith. She grew to womanhood at Boyd Minn., and was married to Paul O. Schulz in 1906.

They moved to Montevideo, Minn., following their marriage, where the operated a grocery store until his death in 1928. Mrs. Schulz then moved to Minneapolis where she lived until 1934 when she returned to Montevideo. She moved to Wahpeton in 1939 and was resided here since.

She was active in church work and member of the Dorac Society, Ladies Aid and Women’s Relief Corps of Wahpeton.

She is survived by a daughter Miss Esther Schulz of Wahpeton; a son, Warren of Alhambra Calif.; a brother, Otto of Herman, Minn.; a sister, Mrs. W. F. (Lydia) Hartfield, Clarkfield, Minn.

Interment will be in Garden of Prayer Fairview Cemetery, Wahpeton.

She was preceded in death by her husband, seven brothers and sisters.

Vocalist will be Mrs. Lyle Jacobson and organist Mrs. Vernon Hektner.

Pallbearers will be Vernon Hektner, William Sturma, Alvin Hans, Wesley Allen, Raymond Nermoe, and Bjorn Melstad.

Vertin’s Wahpeton are in charge of arrangements.

The Garden of Prayer is located in the Memorial Gardens, which comprises the northern half of the cemetery.
