Obituary
Laura Schennum
Mrs. Clifford (Laura) Schennum, 80, Mooreton, died Friday at St. Francis Hospital, Breckenridge. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Mooreton Lutheran Church, Rev. Kenneth Nyhusmoen officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Memorial Gardens, Wahpeton.
Visitation will be this afternoon and evening (Monday) with a 7:30 p.m. prayer service and Tuesday until 11 a.m. at Vertin's Wahpeton Funeral Home Chapel and at the church for the hour prior to services.
Laura Bagg was born May 17, 1900 at Mooreton, the daughter of Frederick A. and Sophia (Larson) Bagg. She attended grade school at Mooreton and graduated from Wahpeton High School. She taught school in Richland County before her marriage to Clifford Schennum in 1924.
The couple farmed in Barney Township, rural Mooreton starting in 1936. They continued living on the farm after retirement.
She was a member of the Mooreton Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her husband; two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, a brother and two sisters, Roy Bagg, Mrs. Alfred (Hattie) Thiel, and Mrs. Clayton (Ella) Egnes, all of Mooreton.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter.
Casket bearers will be Lester Ward, George Menne, Robert Ford, Albert Eckhardt, Earl Hanson, and Leslie Bahr.

The Garden of the Christus is located in the Memorial Gardens, which comprises the northern half of the cemetery.
