Obituary
Kenneth J. Schlener
Funeral services for Kenneth J. Schlener, 47, who died Sunday at Manda, N.D. will be at 8 p.m. Thursday at Vertin's Wahpeton Chapel. Rev. Marvin L. Hartmann will officiate.
Born June 30, 1928 at Great Bend to George and Ellen (Mittag) Schlener, he married Ruth Quast of Wahpeton in 1949. He lived in Wahpeton and attended local schools. He worked for Twin City Roofing Company in Wahpeton before moving to Wausau, Wis., where he was employed by a roofing company for 15 years before being transferred to St. Cloud, where he had lived the past five years.
Survivors include his wife of St. Cloud, a daughter, Mrs. Karen Hendrickson, St. Cloud; two grandchildren; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Schlener, Wahpeton; a brother, Jack of Wahpeton; and one sister, Mrs. Lorin (Marjorie) Hanson of Fullerton, Calif. Burial will be in Fairview Memorial Gardens.
