Mrs. A. Schultz
WAHPETON - Mrs. August (Lena) Schultz, 88, of Wahpeton died Friday at St. Francis Hospital. The funeral will be at 2 Tuesday in the United Church of Christ with the Rev. William Dreyer Jr. of Hancock, Minn., officiating.
Visitation will be Monday afternoon and evening with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. and Tuesday until 11 at Vertin's-Wahpeton Chapel and at the church prior to services.
Casket bearers will be David Ehlers, Lloyd Keech, Merle Ebel, Gerald Pankow, Vernet Schultz and Delbert David.
Lena Wolff was born Jan. 31, 1885, at Winona, Minn., the daughter of William and Gusta (Radloff) Wolff. The family moved to Lidgerwood while she was a child. She married August Schultz March 21, 1907, at Lidgerwood. They resided in the Lidgerwood, Hankinson and Mantador areas before moving to Wahpeton in 1942. Her husband died May 7, 1966. She continued to live in her home until three years ago when she moved to the Wahpeton Rehabilitation Center. She was a member of the United Church of Christ.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Paul (Hattie) Winfeldt of Breckenridge, Mrs. John (Esther) Haley and Mrs. Theodore (Pearl) Gast, both of Wahpeton; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Emil (Mattie) Bartl of Breckenridge.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; four brothers, three sisters and two great-grandchildren.
