Obituary
Rites Held For Mrs. E. Sletmoe 63, Wahpeton
Mrs. Edward (Christine Pauline) Sletmoe, 63, of Wahpeton lifelong resident of Richland county died Friday at a Fargo hospital.
Funeral services were held today (Monday) from Emmanuel Lutheran church, Abercrombie. Rev. Hans Upstad officiating. Interment was at Fairview Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Sletmoe was born near Colfax Dec 20, 1899, the daughter of Erick and Ingeborg Score. She attended local schools.
On Dec. 29, 1922, she married Edward Sletmoe at Colfax. They farmed in Colfax township until 1936 when they moved to Abercrombie. Later they moved to Wahpeton. Mr. Sletmoe is employed by the North Dakota State Highway Department out of Wahpeton.
Mrs. Sletmoe was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran church and was active in church offices when they lived in Abercrombie.
Surviving are her husband, Edward; a son, Gordon E., Fargo; three brothers, John Score, Fargo; Eddie I. Score and Clarence Score, both of Colfax and a sister, Mrs. Philip (Borghild) Sletmoe, Colfax.
Two brothers preceded her in death.
Vocalist was Mrs. Hans Upstad and accompanist Mrs. John Gunness.
Pallbearers were Alder Rudlang, Gerald Stubson, Roney Score, Delos Score, Franklin Score and Wayne Olson. Vertin’s-Wahpeton Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
