Mrs. Slotten
WAHPETON - Mrs. Andrew (Alma) Slotten, 76, of rural Wahpeton, died Friday at St. Francis Hospital in Breckenridge. The funeral was at 2 Monday in Vertin's of Wahpeton Chapel, Garrett Hughes and Kenneth Olson officiating. Burial was in Fairview Memorial Gardens, Wahpeton. Organist was Doris Brown. Special music was by Mr. and Mrs. Richard Peterson.
Alma Marie Nypen was born March 28, 1896, at Correll, Minn., the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew and Mary Norby Nypen. She attended schools at Abercrombie, N.D., and North Dakota State School of Science after which she taught in schools in the Abercrombie area for several years prior to her marriage Sept. 19, 1925. They farmed in Dwight Township.
She is survived by her husband; two sons and a daughter, Roger, Wahpeton; Wallace, Kisumu, Kenya, East Africa; Mrs. Lloyd (Lorraine) Jacobsen; Manhattan, Mont.; one brother, Rev. Leonard Nypen, Moorhead and 10 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mrs. Olga Skamfer and Mrs. Ella Prestegard, and a brother, Harry Nypen.
Casketbeareres were Norman Gall, Paul Lackman, Julius Ferch, Russell Thane, Roy Skamfer and Dwight Anderson.

The Garden of the Christus is located in the Memorial Gardens, which comprises the northern half of the cemetery.
