Obituary
Funeral Service Held Today for Herman Stoltenow, 81
Funeral services for Herman J. Stoltenow, 81, were held today (Monday) at Immanuel Lutheran church in Wahpeton with Rev. Henry Fry officiating. Interment was in Fairview Memorial Gardens in Wahpeton.
The Stoltenows celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this fall.
Mr. Stoltenow was born Oct. 17, 1880 at Great Bend, married Anna Mueller Sept 5, 1901. They farmed until 1943 when they retired and moved into town. Besides his wife, he leaves three sons and seven daughters, Lorina and Mrs. Leslie (Adela) Brand, both Wahpeton, Mrs. Ed (Helen) Bohn, Clarence, Leonard and Mrs. Monroe (Rube) Sedler, all Great Bend. Mrs. Leonard (Justine) Radke, Lidgerwood, Mrs. Darrel (Emma) Quamme, Dwight, Mrs. Reinhardt (Anne) Neils, Sauk Rapids, Minn., and Raymond of Ada, Minn.; two sisters, Mrs. Marsha Gast and Mrs. Justine Gehler, both Wahpeton, 24 grand children and 23 great grandchildren.
Vertin’s-Wahpeton Funeral Home was in charge of funeral arrangements.
