Obituary
Mrs. H. J. Stoltenow, 88, Dies Today in Breckenridge
Mrs. Herman J. (Anna) Stoltenow, 88, Wahpeton, died early this morning (Thursday) at St. Francis Hospital in Breckenridge.
Funeral services will be at 2 Saturday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Rev. Edward J. Rutter officiating.
Visitation will be Friday afternoon and evening with a prayer service at 8 p.m., and Saturday until 12 noon at Vertin’s Wahpeton Chapel and at the church until time of services.
Anna Muehler was born March 25, 1879 at Winona, Minn., the daughter of Traugott and Wilhemina Muehler. She came with her parents to the Great end area and was raised there on her parents farm.
She was married to Herman J. Stoltenow on Sept 5, 1901 at Great Bend. They farmed in Mooreton Township until 1948 when they retired and moved to Wahpeton. Mr. Stoltenow died Jan. 26, 1962. She continued to live in Wahpeton with her daughter, Lorena Stoltenow.
Surviving are 10 children, Ms. Leonard (Gustine) Radke, Lidgerwood; Mrs. Leslie (Adella) Brand, Wahpeton; Miss Lorena Stoltenow, Wahpeton; Mrs. Edwin (Helen) Bohn, Great Bend; Mrs. Darryl (Emma) Quamme, Dwight; Mrs. Reinhardt (Anne) Neils, Sauk Rapids Minn.; Mrs. Monroe (Ruby) Sedler, Hankinson; Clarence and Leonard, both rural Wahpeton; and Raymond of Ada, Minn.; one sister, Mrs. Amanda Bohn of rural Wahpeton.
She was preceded in death by parents, her husband, Herman J. Stoltenow, three sisters and three brothers.
