Mrs. Reinhold Stoltenow, 53, Rites for Tuesday

Funeral services for Mrs. Reinhold (Alice) Stoltenow, 53, of rural Great Bend, will be at 2 Tuesday in Trinity Lutheran Church at Great Bend with Rev. Harold R. Better officiating. She died Saturday morning at St. Francis Hospital where she had been a patient since March 23.

Alice Boetcher was born Jan 11, 1910 in DeVillo township near Fairmount, N.D. She was raised and attended schools in the area and was married at Great Bend June 14, 1928 to Reinhold Stoltenow. They farmed near Great Bend since.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church , its choir, and was past president of the church ladies aid group. She was also a member of the Fairview Homemakers Club.

She is survived by her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Gordon (Mavis) Jackson, Opelika, Ala.; one son, Charles R., rural Wahpeton; one brother, Herbert, Crookston, Minn., her mother, Mrs. Robert (Otilla) Boetcher of Wahpeton; two sisters, Mrs. John (Florence) Baker of Breckenridge and Mrs. Donald (Lillian) Hodges of So. St. Paul, Minn.

Preceding her in death were her father, two brothers and two sisters.

Serving as pallbearers will be Calvin Scholl, Darrell Stoltenow, Barry Baker, Gregory Boetcher, Curtis Stoltenow and Wayne Keenan.

Interment will be in Christus Garden, FairviewMemorial Cemetery, Wahpeton.

A prayer service will be this evening (Monday) at 8 p.m. at Vertin’s Wahpeton Chapel and visitation this afternoon and evening and one hour prior to services at the church.
