Obituary
Funeral Rites Held Today For Thomas Thompson, 79
Funeral services for Thomas Thompson, 79, Dwight, were held this afternoon (Monday) in the Seventh-day Adventist Church here, Rev. Malcolm Gordon officiating.
Mr. Thompson died of an apparent stroke at St. Francis Hospital Thursday.
He was born at Walcott, March 20, 1887, and had been a barber there. He was married to Alma Bergum at Walcott, March 25, 1928. The couple farmed near Walcott until coming to Dwight to farm. In 1948 they retired into the town of Dwight.
Surviving are his wife and two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Rye, in a Fargo nursing home; and Mrs. Albert (Gertrude) Vangsness of Napa, Calif.
Organist was Mrs. E. R. Wasemiller with Steve Wateland and Mrs. Toby Johnson as vocalists.
Pallbearers were Trom Thompson, Lowell Bergum, Percy Bergum, Arthur Bye, Walter Bye, and William Bye.
Burial was in Christus Gardens, Wahpeton
A prayer services was held Sunday at Vertin’s Wahpeton Chapel.
