Obituary
Otis A. Tradewell
Services for Otis A. Tradewell, 87, rural Wahpeton, have been set for 2 p.m. Tuesday at Vertin's of Wahpeton Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Kenneth Nyhusmoen officiating. He died Friday at St. Francis Hospital.
Otis Tradewell was born August 29, 1891 at Redwood Falls, MN to Aron and Mary Tradewell. He worked with a bridge building crew, lived in Minnesota and Canada and moved to Abercrombie where he married Ida Schmidt and farmed. He married Elma Erickson, Jan. 12, 1942 who died in 1963.
He was a 60 year member of the Fort Abercrombie American Legion and a member of the Wahpeton Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include three sisters Elsie Allan, Redwood Falls, Esther Scheunert, Redwood Falls, Mary Haeft, Platteville, Wisc.; and four grandchildren, Theane Miller, Cynthia Krause, both of Wahpeton, Sandra Tradewell, Fargo and Richard, Minneapolis.
Casket bearers for the funeral are Eldon Larson, Gayle Platte, Joseph Thane, Howard Morris, Sr., Steve Worner and Jerry Flige.
