Mrs. Otis Tradewell, 63, Dies; Rites Set Tuesday At Dwight

Mrs. Otis (Alma) Tradewell, 63, lifelong resident of Richland County, died Saturday at the Wahpeton Rehabilitation Center where she had been a resident six weeks.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. from Faith Lutheran Church, Dwight, Rev. Ralph S. Forde officiating. Interment will be at Fairview Memorial Gardens.

There will be visitation this afternoon (Monday) and evening and Tuesday until 11 a.m. at Vertin’s-Wahpeton Chapel and from 1 to 2 p.m. at the church.

Mrs. Tradewell was born July 18, 1900, i Dwight township, the daughter of Thomas and Olava Erickson, pioneer residents of Dwight township.

She was a lifelong member of the Faith Lutheran church and was active in church affairs and the church ladies aid. She was a member of he Abercrombie American Legion Auxiliary.

She married Otis Tradewell Jan 12, 1962.

Mrs. Tradewell had been in ill health the past several months and had been a resident of the Rehab Center for six weeks.

Surviving are her husband, Otis; a sister, Mrs. Carl Bjorness, Minneapolis; three brothers, Melvin and Edward Erickson, Spring Park, Minn, and Theodore Erickson, Dwight.

Vocalists will be Mrs. Martin Hanson and Carl Lund. Organist will be Mrs. Manley Larson.

Pallbearers will be John Hammond, Eldon Larson, Henry DeVries, William Hammond, Joseph Thane, and Edward Lund.
