Obituary
Clara Torgenrud
Funeral servies for Mrs. Clara Torgenrud, 80, of Breckenridge will be Friday at 11 a.m. from the Breckenridge Lutheran Church with Rev. Eugene Floistad officiating. Mrs. Torgenrud died Tuesday of injuries suffered when she was struck by a car on a Breckenridge thoroughfare.
Interment will be in Fairview cemetery, Wahpeton.
She was born June 7, 1895 to Henry and Anna (Thuney) Johnson at Kindred. She moved with the family to Breckenridge as a young child and attended school there. She was married to Peander Torgenrud at Breckenridge, where he was employed with the Great Northern Railroad. They also lived at Crookston and New Rockford.
She was a member of Breckenridge Lutheran Church. Survivors include two grandsons, Dr. Terry Torgenrud, Tacoma, Wash.; David Torgenrud, Rock Springs, Wyoming, and three great-grandsons.
She was preceded in death by her husband and one son, Lyle.
