Obituary
L.L. Thorson
L.L. (Doc) Thorson, 75, Breckenridge, died this morning at St. Francis Hospital. The funeral will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Breckenridge Lutheran Church with Rev. Eugene Floistad officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Memorial Gardens, Wahpeton.
Visitation starts Thursday at 2 p.m. and continues through the evening with a prayer service at 7:30 at Joseph Vertin and Sons Funeral Home, Breckenridge. There will also be visitation at the church for the hour prior to services.
He was born Nov. 17, 1903 to Torlof and Sena Allefson Thorson at Minneapolis. He attended school there and was married to Irene Ulness, July 15, 1926 at St. Cloud. In 1933 the couple moved to Breckenridge where he operated a Barber shop until 1941 when he sold it and began working with Great Northern Railroad. He retired in 1968.
Survivors include his wife, two sons, Richard, Anoka, Minn.; John Kline, Battle Lake; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
