Obituary
Kenneth B. Troxel Dies; Rites Set in Breckenridge
Kenneth B. Troxel, 54, died Sunday at his home in Breckenridge. Funeral services will be at 2 Thursday in the United Methodist Church in Breckenridge with the Rev. Royal Steiner officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Memorial Gardens at Wahpeton. Visitation will be all day Wednesday at Joseph Vertin and Sons Funeral Home in Breckenridge. Mr. Troxel was born Jan. 27, 1915, at Lake City, Iowa, the son of Edward and Maude Troxel. As a young man, he came to Breckenridge and worked for the Great Northern Railway. He married Elaine Schennum Jan. 21, 1935 and they have resided in Breckenridge with the exception of three years when they lived in Portland, Ore. For the past several years, he was a diesel mechanic for the Schuler Grain Co. in Breckenridge. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Breckenridge and the Eagles Lodge. The couple lived at Woodland Beach at Ottertail Lake during the summer and in Breckenridge during the winter months.
He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Dean (Bonnie) Fjeld of Buffalo, Minn., Mrs. Orlan (Beverly) Hinrichs of Breckenridge, Gary Troxel of Fargo and Duane Troxel, who teaches in the American International School in Lagos, Nigeria; 10 grandchildren; two brothers and one sister Elec Troxel of Lake City, Iowa, Donald Troxel of Yetter, Iowa and Mrs. F. W. (Helen) Davis of Milwaukee, Wis.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
