Funeral Held for Former Resident
Last Rites for Mrs. Sarah Visger Hutton Held at Methodist Church Wednesday
Funeral services for Sarah Caroline Visger Hutton, former Wahpeton resident who died in Omaha, Neb., Sunday morning, were held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 from the Methodist Episcopal church with the Rev. Wilson Johnstone officiating.
Death followed an illness of three months.
Mrs. Hutton, who will be remembered by Wahpeton friends as the widow of the late John Visger was born in Neodesha, Kansas, October 23, 1871. She was married to John Visger January 1, 1896, and to this union three children were born: Mrs. Florence Bowen and Mrs. Wm. Allswang, of Chicago, and Ray W. Visger, of Fargo. All of the children were here to attend the last rites.
She was married to Wm. Hutton June 15, 1931, in Omaha, and resided there until her death which occurred Sunday morning, Dec 1. The body was brought to Wahpeton arriving Tuesday evening accompanied by Mr. Hutton.
Pallbearers were C. J. Kahelhoffer, R. J Hughes, H.A. Field, T. J Thomsen, Louis Connolly and Gilbert Roeder. Interment was in Fairview cemetery.
