Mrs. E. Walker

WAHPETON - Mrs. E. P. (Rubel) Walker, 63, of Wahpeton died Saturday in St. Francis Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 11 Tuesday in Bethel Lutheran Church with the Rev. Marvin L. Hartmann officiating. Mrs. Horace Lahren will be the organist and Mr. and Mrs. Alvin _____ the vocalists.

Visitation will be Monday afternoon and evening with a prayer service at 8 p.m. and from 9 until 10 Tuesday at Vertin's-Wahpeton Chapel.

Casket bearers will be Gilbert Koppelman, Forrest Little, Dr. Lloyd Best, Henry Knight, Donald Johnson and Mel Sherva.

Ruth Knoberg was born Sept. 8, 1908, at Milan, Minn., the daughter of Ellert and Ragna (Peterson) Kjoberg. She was educated at Milan and Montevideo, Minn. She was employed by the Bell Telephone Company before her marriage to Dr. E. P. Walker June 16, 1940, at Willmar, Minn. The couple came to Wahpeton in 1941 where Dr. Walker was a veterinarian. She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church, Dorcas Society, Bethel Ard, American Legion Auxiliary, Fortnightly Auxiliary Club and the 40-49 Homemakers.

She is survived by her husband; two daughters and two sons, Mrs. Robert (Beverly) Jacobchick and Mrs. Gene (Audrey) Pinkey, both of Wahpeton, Paul of Bismarck and Roe of Foxhome; seven grandchildren; two sisters and one brother, Mrs. Harold (Vernette) Keifer, Mrs. Howard (Avis) Nepple and Orville Underthun, all of Minneapolis.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson.
