Obituary

Funeral for Mrs. Woodbury Is Wednesday

Funeral services for Mrs. Byron E. Woodbury who died Sunday in Jamestown will be held from Bethel Lutheran church Wednesday afternoon at two o’clock with the Pastor. Rev. P.A. Gisvold, officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Memorial Gardens.

Friends may call at Vertin Funeral chapel Tuesday and evening and Wednesday morning until 11 o’clock.

Mathilda Pedersen was born April 6, 1883 at Christine, daughter of the late Hans and Agnetta Pedersen. She grew up and attended school in that area, was baptized and confirmed at Richland Lutheran church.

She was married to Byron Woodbury in 1911 and they farmed near Abercrombie until 1929 when they moved to a farm in the Mooreton vicinity where they farmed until moving to Wahpeton in 1944.

Mrs. Woodbury has been in failing health the past year.

She leaves her husband, and the following children: Agnes, Mrs. Marvin Nelson, Seattle; Herbert, of McLeod; Ardy of Barney; Robert of Wahpeton; Marcia, Mrs. John Clarke, of Exelsior, Minn. There are 14 grandchildren.

She is also survived by her step mother, Mrs. Bertha Pederson of Abercrombie and one brother, Fred Pedersen, of Abercrombie; two sisters are Mrs. William Sturma, of this city and Mrs. Melvin Halvorson of Grand Forks.
