Rose Worner

Services for Mrs. Philip (Rose) Worner, 86, Wahpeton, have been set for 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Immanuel Lutheran Church with Rev. Ernest Bartels officiating. She died Wednesday.

Visitation will be Friday afternoon and evening with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. in Vertin's of Wahpeton Funeral Home chapel. There will also be visitation one hour prior to the service Saturday at the chapel.

Rose Louisa Radke was born April 17, 1892, to John and Henrietta (Mallow) Radke at Great Bend. She was raised in Brandenburg Township and on Sept. 26, 1922, married Philip Worner at Great Bend.

The couple farmed in Summit Township near Tyler until 1946 and then moved to Wahpeton. She was employed at the Wahpeton Laundry and later at Fox Bakery in Wahpeton for several years. In 1978 the couple moved to the Wahpeton Rehabilitation Center.

She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, and the LWML.

Survivors include her husband, four daughters, Mrs. Elmer (Dorothea) Schradick, Wahpeton; Mrs. John (Adah) Dyer, Madison, Wis.; Mrs. LaVern Miller, Fargo; and Mrs. Don (Marlyn) Ehlers, Champaign, Ill.; ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.

Casket bearers for the funeral service are Milton Bohn, Earl Dosch, Gary Prochnow, Leonard Kath, Lloyd Heidner and Duane Langeberg.
