Obituary
Mrs. Wegener, Lifelong County Resident, Dies
Mrs. August (Elsie) Wegener, 65, of Wahpeton, resident of Richland County all of her life, died Sunday morning at the St. Francis Hospital where she had been a patient for several months.
Funeral service has been set for Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the First Congregational Church here of which she was member. Rev. Frank Hirons will officiate with Vertin Funeral Home of Wahpeton handling arrangements. Interment will be in the family lot in Fairview Cemetery.
Elsie Glander was born in Hankinson April 21, 1890, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Glander. She married Mr. Wegener in 1910 and they came to Wahpeton to make their home where she had lived since.
Surviving are two sons and five daughters. They are: Elroy of Wahpeton, William of Watertown, S.D., Mrs. Harold (Mildred) Tipton of Springfield, Ill., Mrs. William (Dorothy) Nelson of Minneapolis, Mrs. George
(Alice) Terhurne of Breckenridge, Mrs. George (Elaine) Goff of Long Beach Calif., and Mrs. Robert (Lillian) Leshovsky of Christine.
She also leaves four brothers Otto and Herbert of Wahpeton. Harry of El Cerrito, Calif., and William of Minneapolis; a sister, Mrs. Martha McDonald of St. Cloud, Minn., and 13 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1933 and a son, Henry in 1952.
