Mrs. Walson Dies Wednesday
Funeral Arrangements Are Not Completed
Mrs. Gertrude Walson, 72, died Wednesday at 2 p.m. at St. Mary hospital. She had been in ill health for three years. Funeral arrangements have not been completed pending word from an only brother, George Wright, at Portersville, Calif. The body is at Schmitt & Olson’s.
Mrs. Walson had been a resident of Wahpeton for about 40 years. Her husband, Dave Walson, who was a salesman, died here 29 years ago. A sister, Mrs. Vallie Berg, also died here 16 years ago. Mrs. Walson for many years, was employed by the Penney store. More recently, she worked at the park. She was a member of the Rebekah lodge and the Episcopal church.
