Mrs. Julia Walter, wife of F. J. Walter of this city, died at her home on Pembina Ave. last Monday morning at 6 o’clock, after a prolonged attack of pneumonia and other complications. The funeral is to be held this afternoon (Thursday) services being held at the house at 1:30 p.m., and from the German Evangelical church immediately after, Rev. Zeyher officiating. Mrs. Walter has been a resident of Wahpeton for fourteen years. She was born in Atkinson, Neb., on July 13, 1874, being almost 42 years of age at the time of her death. Her maiden name was Julia Minnie Boettcher. Her youth was spent in Atkinson with her parents, and there she was married 16 years ago to Mr. F. J. Walter. Two years later they moved to Wahpeton, and have made this city their home ever since.

Mrs. Walter is survived by her husband, four brothers, two sisters and six children, Ruth aged 15, Wilford, Celia, Elmer, Esther and Alvin aged 3 years. Besides the relatives there is a large circle of friends who mourn her loss.

Mr. Gus. Walter of Atkinson, Neb., and Messrs John and Fred Boettcher of Norfolk, brothers of Mrs. Walter, arrived Wednesday for the funeral. Mrs. Henry Gutzki, sister to Mr. Walter, was expected to arrive from her home in Morden, Mont., in time for the services.
