Obituary
Elroy Wegener
Funeral services for Elroy E. (Alex) Wegener, 57, of Grand Forks, formerly of Breckenridge and Wahpeton, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Calvary Lutheran Church in Grand Forks, with committal at 2:30 p.m. at Fairview Memorial Cemetery in Wahpeton.
Mr. Wegener was born in Breckenridge to August and Elsie (Glander) Wegener and later moved to Wahpeton where he managed the Lampert Lumber Co. for many years.
He was active in community affairs, both in Wahpeton and Grand Forks.
Survivors include three daughters and three sons, Mrs. Tom (Myrnell) Brusegaard, Thief River Falls, Minn.; Lt. E. Barry, Tempe, Arizona; Jay Ypsilanti, Mich.; and Ava, Wendy and Ross, all of Grand Forks; five sisters, Mrs. Robert (Lillian) Leshovsky, Doran; Mrs. George (Alice) Tehrune, Breckenridge; Mrs. William (Dorothy) Nelson, McGregor, Minn.; Mrs. Mildred Tipton, Portland; and Mrs. Ray (Elaine) Brannen, San Diego; and one brother, William of Douglas, Wyoming; and three grandchildren.
He is preceded by his parents and a brother, Henry.
