Obituary
Funeral Rites Friday for George Weiss
George A. Weiss, 45 a lifelong Wahpeton resident, died in a local hospital Wednesday, where he had been a patient for three days. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday at the Vertin-Schmitt and Poulton Funeral Home, North chapel. Rev. B. B. Curtis will officiate and burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. The body will lie in state from 4 p.m. Today, Thursday, until the time of services.
George Alfred Weiss was born Aug. 3, 1916, the son of the late William Weiss and Mrs. Weiss. He attended local schools and the State School of Science. He was employed as a mechanic for Stoudt Motors Inc., and more recently by Jack Reed Chevrolet. He was married to Florence Differding at Fergus Falls, June 30, 1946. They had made their home in Wahpeton since their marriage
He is survived by his wife, and two children, Linda and Gary, both at home. He is also survived by his mother, Mrs. William Weiss, of Wahpeton, and two brothers, Marvin and Harold, both of Wahpeton. His father died in 1957.
The Vertin-Schmitt and Poulton Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
