Obituary
Accident Victim To Be Buried Today
Victim of a tragic accident, Ronald Phillip Whiting, husband of the former Norine Lord of this city, will be buried Friday afternoon from the Congregational church here and interment will be in Fairview cemetery. Whiting was asphyxiated December 17th at Lewellyn, Nebr., when he went to sleep in a truck, he had been driving.
He was born July 21, 1915, at Clitherall, Minn., where he grew to manhood. He was married in Wahpeton, June 16, 1935. The family had made their home at Kansas City Mo., where Mr. Whiting had been employed driving a truck. He was working at the time of the fatal accident driving up until morning when he dozed off in the parked truck with the motor running. Passersby did not discover his death until nearly noon.
He is survived by his wife and a son, Harry Dale, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Whiting of Clitherall, and four brothers, Julian, Vincent and Clarence, of Kansas City, and Richard of Clitherall. Services are to be conducted Friday afternoon from the Congregational church at two with Rev. Hoiriis officiating. Schmitt & Olson will be in charge of the services.
