Arthur Willard Dies Wednesday in Corpus Christi
Arthur Willard retired Great Northern conductor, died Wednesday at Corpus Christi, Texas and the body was brought to Breckenridge Sunday and will lie in state at Vertin Funeral home this afternoon and evening and Tuesday morning before being placed in the receiving vault at Fairview Mausoleum.
Arthur Willard was born on Feb 15, 1892 in Wahpeton. He started working for the railroad as a young man. He married Rena Kubela in October 1916 and they made their home in Breckenridge. After being with the railroad 47 years he retired and had since made his home at Pelican Rapids and Lake Lida, spending the winter in the south.
He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Elsie Ramsett, St. Paul, who accompanied the body here and by a nephew William Ramsett, of Billings, MT.
