Obituary
Ed Wolff, 56, Wahpeton, Dies; Rites Wednesday
Ed Wolff, 56, Wahpeton, formally of Lidgerwood, died Sunday at his home here. Death was attributed to a heart attack.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. from Vertin’s-Wahpeton Chapel, Rev. Loyal E. Golf officiating. Interment will be at Fairview cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday afternoon and evening and Wednesday until 2 p.m. at Vertin’s- Wahpeton Funeral Home. Mr. Wolff was born at Casselton, Jan. 15, 1907, the son of Julius and Valeria Wolff. He moved with his parents as a child to the Lidgerwood area where his parents farmed. Later the family moved to Great Bend and in 1948, Mr. Wolff moved to Wahpeton.
He was employed as a farm worker and was employed by Wilfred Emmel for 20 years. Several winters, he worked in Texas.
He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Valeria Wolff, Wahpeton; two sisters, Mrs. Chester (Edna) Bohn, West Fargo and Mrs. Alfred (Beatrice) Beling, Wahpeton and a brother, John, Lidgerwood. He was preceded in death by his father in 1955.
