Obituary
Gustav Walby Rites Saturday At New London
Gustav H. Walby, 86, father of Selmer Walby, Lidgerwood, died Thursday at Norway Lake, Minn. The funeral was held Saturday in New London, Minn. Mr. Walby was born at Norway Lake, April 30, 1881, and married Ida Popp at Great Bend, N.D., June 1, 1904. He had been employed as a harness maker at Great Bend, Hankinson and Rutland, all North Dakota, and had been for a time at Veblen, S.D. He returned to this area from California in 1944. His wife died in 1965, after which he returned to Norway Lake.
In addition to the son at Lidgerwood, he leaves another son, Alden, Storm Lake, Iowa; and five grandchildren.
