Obituary

Oscar Youngquist-1918 Oscar Youngquist of Valley Town Mont., died at his home on their homestead some distance from that place last Wednesday night, of pneumonia following influenza. Tuesday of last week Herb Youngquist of this city received a telegram from his people in Montana stating that the entire family, with one exception, was seriously ill, and for him to come at ones. He left Wednesday morning, but his brother Oscar had passed away before his arrival. The family resides on a homestead at a considerable distance from Valley Town, Mont. Upon Herb’s arrival at the homestead he found his brother dead, and his mother and his sister, Mrs. Gust. Dahlquist and her two children all ill, the only one not being ill was Mr. Dahlquist. Deceased was about 23 years of age, and was born in Wahpeton where he lived until the family moved to Montana just a few years ago. He is of course well known in Wahpeton and has a large circle of friends here. The funeral service was held at the home Friday of last week, and burial was in a near-by cemetery. Beside the relatives named above deceased has a sister, Miss Mae Youngquist, who is teaching school at Benedict, N. D.
