Obituary
Bernice Zentgraf
Services for Mrs. George (Bernice) Zentgraf, 72, of Wahpeton will be Monday at 10:30 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Burial will be at Fairview Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Zentgraf died Thursday at her home.
Visitation will be Sunday from 3 p.m. and continuing through the evening at Vertin's Wahpeton Funeral Home East Chapel, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. There will be visitation one hour prior to services at the church.
Bernice Stein was born Sept. 25, 1903 at Great Bend to Fred and Martha (Ponath) Stein. She moved with her family to the Fairmount area when she was a child and attended school in DeVille Township.
She married George Zentgraf Feb. 27, 1924 at Wahpeton. They lived in Canada for a year, then returned and farmed near Taylor Township, Minn. They later farmed for 48 years in Summit Township near Great Bend. He died Nov. 22, 1971. She continued to live on the farm until two years ago when she moved to Wahpeton.
She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Wahpeton, and was also a long-time member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Great Bend.
Survivors are two sons, Pearl of Moorhead and Deimer of Beaumont, Tex.; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Reinhart of Wahpeton and Robert of Doran; and a sister, Mrs. Edna Johnson, Oshkosh, Wis.
She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, an infant daughter, two grandchildren, two brothers and two sisters.
