Lloyd Zentgraf
FAIRMOUNT - Lloyd J. Zentgraf, 48, of Fairmount died Friday of an apparent heart attack at the Herbert Marquardt farm. The funeral will be at 11 Tuesday in the Immanuel Lutheran Church, rural Wheaton, with the Rev. Floyd H. Kruger officiating. Special music will be by the Immanuel and Taylor Lutheran Choirs accompanied by Mrs. Robert Beyer, organist. Interment will be in Fairview Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be Monday afternoon and evening with a prayer service at 7:30 in Vertin's-Wahpeton East Chapel.
Honorary casket bearers will be Herbert Marquardt, Walter Beyer, Ewald Riewe, Myron Maudal, Adolph Muehler, Lyle Raguse, Cliff Tobolt, Carl Simpson and Nich Keller.
Active casket bearers will be Earl Felton, Robert Green, Dean Tischer, Michael Gilles, Elroy Larson and Herbert Larson.
Mr. Zentgraf was born July 8, 1924, at Gull Lake, Sask. Canada, the son of George A. and Bernice. (Stine) Zentgraf. He moved with his parents to Taylor Township, Traverse County, Minnesota, before moving to Great Bend, N.D. He married Adeline Marquardt June 12, 1947, in the First English Lutheran Church at Fairmount. They farmed near Fairmount before moving to a farm in Traverse County in 1951 where they have since resided. He was a member of St. Paul's Luteran Church in Taylor Township and served for nine years as a church elder, was a member of Farmers Union and the school board.
He is survived by his wife; a son and daughter, Timothy and Monica, all of Fairmount; his mother, Mrs. George A. (Bernice) Zentgraf of Wahpeton; two brothers, Delmer of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Mearl of Moorhead.
He was preceded in death by his father in 1971 and an infant sister, Donna Lou.
