Obituary

Mrs. Otto Zuelsdorf, 75, Wahpeton, Dies Saturday

Mrs. Otto (Alma) Zuelsdorf, 75, longtime Wahpeton teacher, died Saturday night at St. Francis Hospital in Breckenridge.

Funeral services will be at 2 Wednesday from the Trinity Episcopal Church, Rev. Harold S. Jones, priest-in-charge. Prayer services will be Tuesday at 8 p.m. at Vertin’s Wahpeton Chapel.

Alms N. Munson was born Aug. 26, 1891 at Cedro, Wash., the daughter of Martha and Michel Munson. She came to Reynolds, N.D. as a child with her parents and later moved to Akeley, Minn., where she attended schools and graduated from Bemidji State College and did graduate work at Columbia University.

She taught and served as principal at Bemidji, Casper, Wyoming; Sheridian, Wyoming; and Bozeman, Mont. She was married to Otto Zuelsdorf, July 9, 1941 at Akeley, Minn., and lived in Wahpeton since.

Mrs. Zuelsdorf taught at the Wahpeton Indian School for over 21 years, retiring in 1963.

She was a member of the Trinity Episcopal Church, the Order of Eastern Star and had been a member of the Wahpeton Literary Club.

Surviving are her husband; one step-daughter, Mrs. Michael (Orean) Hogan, San Francisco, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Fritz (Marie) Olson and Mrs. Frank (Lee) Nelson, both Fontana, Calif.; and three step-grandchildren.
