Obituary

Leonard Zahrbock

The funeral for Leonard Zahrbock, 74, of 711 South Fourth Street, Wahpeton, will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Vertin's Wahpeton Funeral Home (East Chapel) with Rev. Stanley Mueller of United Church of Christ officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery, Wahpeton.

Mr. Zahrbock died Saturday afternoon.

Visitation will be Monday afternoon and evening in Vertin's Wahpeton West Chapel.

Organist will be Jerald Stewart and vocalist will be Ronald Nies.

Casket bearers will be Jack Schiener, Collin Prochnow, Wayne Baker, Wayne Brendefur, James Olson, and Larry Speidel.

Leonard Zahrbock was born Aug. 10, 1901 at Odessa, Minn. to Albert and Emilie (Somrau) Zahrbock. He grew up there and attended local schools.

He married Florence Brendefur Sept. 17, 1927at Tintah. He operated garages at Barrett, Minn. and later at Duluth.

In 1950 the couple moved to Breckenridge and in 1960 they moved to Wahpeton. He was employed at the Lillegard Chevrolet Garage.

He was a member of the United Methodist Church and the Masonic Lodge.

Survivors are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Jack (Ginger) Williams of Wahpeton and Mrs. Marilyn Grenell of Minneapolis; six grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. W. (Evelyn) Seidl of Clinton, Minn.; and three brothers, Al of New Brighton, Minn., Harvey of Yankton, S.D., and Harold of Webster, S.D.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and two sisters.
