Obituary
Zietlow Funeral Set Saturday In Wahpeton
Funeral services will be held here Saturday for Benj Zietlow, 50, Dwight township farmer who died Monday in St. Francis hospital where he had been hospitalized for two weeks. Death was attributed to a heart ailment.
Rites will be in Immanuel Lutheran church with Rev. Henry Fry officiating. Interment will be made in Fairview Cemetery here. Schmitt-Poulton Funeral Home of Wahpeton is handling the funeral arrangements.
Visitation will be Friday afternoon and evening at Schmitt-Poulton Funeral Home.
Benjamin Berthold Zietlow, son of Mr. and Mrs. Berthold Zietlow of Hankinson, was born March 27, 1908. He attended parochial and high school in Great Bend and was confirmed at Trinity Lutheran church there.
He married Alva Krause April 17, 1938, at Great Bend, and the couple farmed for six years in Waldo township and a similar length of time in Brandenburg township before moving to near Dwight eight years ago.
Surviving are his parents: his wife, two daughters, Harriet and Lucille, both at home; three brothers, Harold of Fargo, Irvin of Hankinson, and Walter of Van Nuys, Calif., and a sister, Mrs. Charles Loll of Great Bend.
A sister, Florence, preceded him in death.
