Obituary
G. C. Rogde, 70, Funeral Set For Friday at 2
Funeral services for Gerhart C Rogde, 70, Wahpeton real estate broker, will be at 2 Friday in the Evangelical United Brethren Church, Rev. Charles Ritter officiating.
Mr. Rogde died Monday after suffering an apparent heart attack while driving his car here.
He was born June 2, 1896 in Minneapolis, and is a veteran of World War I. He was married to Esther Plumer Jan. 24, 1919 at Chippewa Falls, Wis. They lived in Wisconsin, later in Minneapolis.
They came to Wahpeton in 1941. Mrs. Rodge died September 1959.
Visitation at Vertin’s Wahpeton will be Thursday evening and Friday morning.
Surviving are three sons, John of Honolulu, Charles of Fergus Falls, and George of Minneapolis; two daughters, Mrs. Peter (Alice) Larson Minneapolis; and Sara Rogde of Wahpeton; and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery.
Organist will be Mrs. Donald Gripentrog with hymns by the congregation.
