Uretta Russell-1916
Mrs. Uretta Russell died at St. Francis hospital last Tuesday night, June 27th. She had been in the hospital for the past year and a half, going there after a bad fall at the home of her daughter, Mrs. A. G. Divet, and never fully recovered from the injuries sustained at that time. Mrs. Russell was born in Ohio 88 years ago, and for the past fifteen years has made her home here with her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. A. G. Divet. She had become very well known in a large circle of friends, and her death is mourned by all of them. She is survived by three sons and one daughter, Mrs. Divet. Funeral services were held at the Divet home Friday last week, Rev. W. A. Baker conducting the services. Many beautiful floral offering were sent by friends. Interment was in Fairview cemetery. Mrs. Russell was a grand-daughter of President Franklin Pierce.
