Obituary
Arthur Rufner Rites Monday
Funeral services were held Monday (today) for Arthur H. Rufener of Wahpeton in the Immanuel Lutheran Church with the Rev. Edward Rutter officiating. Music was by Mrs. William Enochson, organist, and the Immanuel Ladies Choir. Interment was in the Garden of Prayer in Fairview Memorial Gardens. Mr. Rufener died Friday.
Pallbearers were Alvin Ambach, Emil Bartl, Louis Leshovsky, Arthur Lee, Carl Glander Sr. and Elmer Smith.
Mr. Rufener was born Feb. 21, 1893, in Blumenstein, Switzerland and farmed after coming to North Dakota in 1912.
He was survived by two sisters, Mrs. John (Martha) Winkler and Mrs. Robert (Albertina) Friederich, both in Switzerland; a niece, Mrs. Elmer (Gertrude) Bohn of Wahpeton and several nieces and nephews in Switzerland.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Ernest.
